This was what my house looked like.
Today it's challenging to find any remaining snow or ice. I placed The Child's snowboard and saucer sled back in storage.
Notice the narrow ribbon of stubborn snow on the edge of the woods. Is it my imagination, or is the grass looking slightly green?
Most of the world outside of my house today looks like this- devoid of any hint of winter. I spied a chipmunk scurrying about, hopeful that his world was coming back to life. I imagine his legs were a bit stiff, but his speed belied that notion.

Welcome Spring! Now if only it decides to stay.....
Dear Patti,
Yes, I'm afraid this post is based upon wishful thinking......
Hugs,
Betty
Spring is around the corner. I can't wait.
Dear Daisy,
I'm with you!
Hugs,
Betty
It's not you imagination ... there is a hint of green in those pictures. Spring will tease us, I suspect, for another 4-6 weeks, but it is not far away!! Sighh! :)
Dear Lynilu,
Yes, I'm afraid you're correct. I just hope for a nice long spring. (Last year we went from winter directly into summer!)
Hugs,
Betty
Oh so cruel. I rose at 5 a.m. this morning so I could shovel six inches of snow from my walk. No spring here.
I'm headed south on Saturday but I see it's going to be 38 degrees in Chattanooga that day. How far south do I have to go?
Dear Big Dave,
If it's any consolation, winter is back here too. Not 5 inches, but there is snow cover and plenty of icy roads. More is predicted for Friday. Sigh....
Hugs,
Betty
Beautiful, beautiful winter! I love looking at it from sunny southern Florida. My kids are really suffering in Ohio -- they had another six inches today. Better not put that sled away --- you could get more--- even in April.
Well, Kacey, I spoke too soon, as you'll see in my new post....
Hugs,
Betty
Hi Betty,
Your house reminds me of the days I spent in Holland, Utrecht. Thanks for the pictures!
Thanks for stopping by, Waterlearner!
Hugs,
Betty
